The International Thin-Film Transistor Conference (ITC) 2014 is the 10th anniversary conference since their begin in 2005.

To mark the event, we have established the ITC 10th Anniversary Prize which will be conferred on four researchers who have most significantly contributed to the research and development of the field of TFTs over the ten-year period.

The scientific committee in charge of the prize is composed of Prof. R. Ishihara (TU Delft) - chair, Prof. W.I. Milne (Cambridge Univ.) and Prof. T. Asano (Kyushu Univ.).

The prize will be announced at the opening session of January 23rd at 9am and during the ceremony a small gift having the conference and prize winner’s name will be formally conferred to the winners by the chair.

We are pleased to announce that following four researchers have won the ITC 10th Anniversary Prize.

Professor Hideo Hosono, Tokyo Institute of Technology
 - for his pioneering development of the metal-oxide semiconductors, which cased an explosion of research on the topic and has recently been applied to mass production of flat-panel displays using the material.

Professor Jin Jang, Kyung Hee University
 - for his significant contribution to research on TFTs with materials, ranging from Si, organic and metal-oxides, and continuous and warmest support for research community of TFTs including the ITC.

Professor Piero Migliorato, Cambridge University
 - for his research initiative on device physics and reliability of poly-Si TFTs, and device simulation and circuit design using the same, which has made the major impact to the high-resolution mobile-displays.

Professor Sigurd Wagner, Princeton University
 - for his pioneering research on flexible and stretchable large-area electronics and comprehensive study on the mechanical behavior of the same which will be applied to various products in the near future.
